FAQs

What can I expect in my first session?

The first session with me is an opportunity to begin building a therapeutic alliance. I will ask you questions about what is happening currently in your life that is bringing you to therapy at this time. I will also begin to gain a better understanding of what led to you being in the place you are in. We will identify what your goals are for therapy and work together to create a treatment plan to help you achieve your goals.

What are my payment options?

I accept all major credit and debit cards, including HSA and FSA cards. Payment is due in full at the time of service. If you are not utilizing insurance, I will provide you with a “good faith estimate” in accordance with the No Surprises Act.

Does telehealth work like in person therapy does?

Studies have demonstrated telehealth is a viable care alternative and found there are no significant differences in symptom reduction between in person and telehealth therapy patients. See the full study from the National Institute of Health.

What type of patients do you work with?

I work primarily with older adolescents (college-aged and above) and adults, with a particular focus on women who experience:

  • High-functioning anxiety or chronic overthinking

  • People-pleasing patterns and difficulty setting boundaries

  • Guilt, self-criticism, or fear of disappointing others

  • Emotional burnout from caregiving, relationships, school, or work

  • Stress related to family dynamics, academic pressure, or life transitions

Many of the patients I work with appear capable and put-together on the outside, yet feel anxious, overwhelmed, or emotionally exhausted on the inside. They are often highly responsible, sensitive, and driven. Therapy focuses on helping them build healthier boundaries, manage anxiety more effectively, and create a more balanced and sustainable life.

I tend to be a good fit for patients who:

  • Are open to learning practical skills and strategies

  • Want a structured, collaborative approach to therapy

  • Are interested in understanding patterns and making meaningful change

I may not be the best fit if you are:

  • Looking for crisis or emergency services

  • Seeking unstructured, insight-only therapy without skill development
